A Brilliant Day of Repair, Creativity and Community Spirit
16 April 2026

We had a brilliant day at the Community Repairs Day organised by the GRAB Trust’s ReMake Argyll project on Saturday, with fantastic energy and a real buzz throughout the hall. It truly felt like a space built around connection, learning and care towards things people owned.
From Dr Bike and garden tool sharpening to electrical and mechanical repairs and clothing alterations, there was huge enthusiasm for repairing rather than replacing. The Curiosity Corner was a great addition, with families getting hands‑on, taking apart e‑waste and discovering how everyday items work, while skills were shared freely across generations. The community café from MOMA added to the warm, welcoming atmosphere.
It was inspiring to see so many people so passionate about sustainability and community-led action. Huge thanks to GRAB Trust for hosting the event and for welcoming Low Carbon along - we loved being part of such a positive and uplifting day.
